Buckle up, settle in! I heard a bunch of you were cherry picking this weekend, so we’ve got NEW announcements as well as ones you may have missed!
Menhirs Fate – Clarification on IC Camping Zones & Safety Measures
Hello adventurers!
We wanted to take a moment to clarify some important information about our IC nation camps, particularly the Accessibility Camping Area and Non-Combat Camping (Nom-Com) Area.
These zones are located closer to the centre of Haven City, both for ease of access and to place them further from common combat entrances. However, we’d like to be very clear: these areas are not protected by an invisible wall. NPC crew and skirmish teams can enter these spaces as part of the world and story.
So, how do we keep these areas safe while still immersive and engaging?
We have several systems in place to make sure everyone can enjoy the game at their own pace and comfort level:
– Our NPC team will herald any potential incursion or encounter in advance (usually around 5 minutes). This gives you time to prepare, opt in, or step away if needed.
– Players who don’t wish to engage in combat during a specific encounter can use our designated hand signal to indicate that. You are not locked into this from day to day — you can opt in or out per incursion, with no judgment.
The hand signal is a hand in the air with a thumb down; this indicates to everyone that you are a non combatant and to not engage in combat near you or with you.
– As a rule, there is no combat allowed inside tents or beneath awnings, offering safe, private spaces for all.
– The Non-Combat and Accessibility Camping areas are deliberately placed closer to the town centre, which is the safest in-character area in our field. We’ve done our best to make this a zone that’s welcoming and alive with story.
We apologise for any confusion in the past and hope this clarifies how we’re working hard to balance safety, inclusion, and immersive gameplay.
We will be asking our incredible skirmish team to remind our monster slots of these rules and hand signals before going out on encounters.
We are currently collecting more data on this and other areas of the game to make improvements where needed and this ruling may change after a trial based on feedback from players and our amazing volunteers.
As always, if you have any questions or needs during the event, please speak to a member of our team. We’re here to help.
Reminder that we would love to have more traffic management volunteers! You’ll get free breakfast, lunch and dinner for Thursday and Friday, and dinner on Sunday ontop of 50% off your admission ticket. You’ll also be in shifts and have frequent breaks, we will not make you stand outside the whole time!
Even if you can’t make the full availability, please apply anyway and specify your availability on the application form where asked!
Downtime System!
As a reminder, our downtime system is currently live. Make sure you’re logged in on the website, look at the navigation bar on the top of the site, and select Downtime System!
Not every choice will have multiple options, and you can choose to support any choice from any nation too!
We’ve released the story update for the ending of MF1 which you can read here: mf-announcements
