Hello adventurers!
We heard late last night that Menhirs Fate has been shortlisted for a number of UK LARP Awards and just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who nominated us! It obviously means a great deal to the whole team that the events had such an impact last year. We were starting a massive undertaking with over 200 volunteers working behind the scenes, so it’s fantastic that so many categories highlight the work they all contributed. We’d like to especially shout out to those crew and players who helped make the games accessible to families, new people to the hobby, minority communities, and all those who have reached out to offer help to others. Larp can be a scary place when first starting out, as well as an expensive one, so this is especially meaningful to us. We are also absolutely thrilled to see so many of our crew nominated:
- Elliot from the Treasure Hunter’s Guild, Emily, Queen of the bank and George from Morvalis Nation Support for NPC of the year (alongside Hannah who’s one of our skirmish captains!)
- Persephone, our head of Nation Support and Conduct, Charlie from Syradonia Nation Support and Millie of The Court of Daggers and also several thousand other things that made 2025 go smoothly for Event Crew Member of the Year
- Hulda from our NPC team as Entertainer of the Year
- Esmee of Morvalis Nation support for Costume Maker of the Year
Alongside dozens of the traders, crew and players who made 2025 the biggest rollercoaster of our lives! We’d also like to shout out to the organisers of the Astrum Ball – it’s incredible to see a MF sanctioned event listed alongside the player events of more established systems! Now the judges will vote, with a panel made up of past winners, and we’ll find out the results at the LARP awards, which take place on the 7th of March in Coalville, the Saturday evening of Larpcon, which is happening nearby in the day. Regardless of how we fare on the night – thank you so much for the support!
