Military Commanders of Menhir’s Fate — A Call for Letters
Greetings adventurers! If you lead a military unit at the War Wall at Menhirs Fate, you’re invited to take part in a new optional narrative opportunity – submitting letters to your units.
As announced at the last War Wall, this is your chance to pen a letter to the NPC commanding your unit. Your letter can include counsel, encouragement, reprimand, or even desperate pleas from afar; whatever best reflects your character’s leadership and relationship with their forces.
A few important notes:
- This is entirely opt-in.
- You are not required to write a letter.
- Your letter will not affect battle outcomes or the calculations of military engagements.
- This is a flavour-only opportunity to enrich your orders and the ongoing story.
- Replies are not guaranteed.
The NPC commanders are busy fighting the Corruption – but your words will reach them and may inspire moments in future write-ups.
Letters will be shared with the downtime team, who may draw from them for narrative colour. Excerpts may appear in downtimes, but we will not publish letters in full.
Submission deadline: Friday 31st October, 2025.
Let your commanders hear from you. Whether your troops march through salt marshes, clouds, or ash, your words carry the weight of command.
A Thank You from our Weaving Team
As the Menhir recedes and Haven rests during the colder seasons, the Weaving Team would love to extend a massive thank you to all the players of Haven who have engaged in the shenanigans of the Weaving tent. If you are a Weaver, Priest, wanderer who got caught by Enora’s spectacular introduction of “the shiny rock”, or sudden Handsel needed for that Fable or Forge Weaving, we have enjoyed all your visits.
This year has been an amazing one for everyone in the Weaving Team, thank you for bearing with us as we all learn the wonders of the Menhir, but what has made it so incredible are the creative ideas and awe-inspiring Weavings and Entreaties which have been completed. We’ve had over 250 Auguries and Petitions come to our little corner of guilds, some calling upon the Menhir to shift the scales in a great battle, others exploring the rich histories of the land of Elandra, some seeking to create more joy and laughter within Haven itself. Every idea has been welcomed, and we love to see how you all wish to use the magic of the Menhir in ever more interesting, hilarious, and sometimes dangerous ways.
As a team, we will continue to ensure our side of the game is ever improving, looking at what we see and hear needs to be tweaked and ensure we can provide you all with an incredible experience.
Once more, thank you so much to every player of Menhir’s Fate. We have many Weavings and Entreaties from MF1 to MF4 that we still talk about now, and it is our hope that you all will continue to create such memorable moments in 2026.
