Player Events & Mf4 Feedback

Greetings adventurers!

Firstly, thank you SO much if you attended MF4, our feedback survey is ready for you. If you have some spare time, this information is extremely valuable to us to make Menhirs Fate even better for you in 2026 and beyond!

With the Long Dark creeping in, we thought it would be a good time to share some news about Player Events. The Menhirs Fate team is very happy to support players who wish to run their own events set within the world of Menhirs Fate.

To help guide you, we’ve created a set of Player Event Guidelines, designed to keep things fun, consistent, and safe for everyone who takes part.

At this stage, Player Events should be social or character-driven, focusing on roleplay, worldbuilding, and community connection. These gatherings are a great way to bring people together, share stories, and keep the spirit of Menhirs Fate alive through the Long Dark.

These events should not include plot, peril, or external threats: that means no monsters, combat encounters, or storylines that advance the main plot.

We know some of you may ask why only social events? Right now, the team feels the game world isn’t quite ready to support sanctioned plot events that involve peril or large-scale storytelling. This is mainly due to ongoing work behind the scenes, including monster design, overarching storylines, and game balance.

Once these systems are fully developed, we plan to open the door for more complex, plot-driven Player Events in the future.

You can find the full Player Event Guidelines here:

These cover what’s allowed, expectations for organisers, and how to report any in-game outcomes such as character deaths.

We’re genuinely excited to see the community keeping the fires burning through the Long Dark. Whether you’re hosting a tavern night, a character reunion, or a quiet reflection in the world of Menhirs Fate, these events are a chance to connect, share, and keep the story alive.

If you have any questions or want to check an idea before running an event, please don’t hesitate to reach out we’re always happy to help.

Stay warm, stay creative, and we look forward to hearing the stories. Remember Fables have power.
