Greetings adventurers! Below is a message from the Bankers Guild:
Hello everyone,
As Menhirs Fate continues to grow, so too does the number and scale of player build projects. To help us manage these projects more effectively and ensure every build receives the time and attention it deserves, we’re making a few changes to the build proposal process.
Previously, once a build was fully funded, we aimed to have it completed for the very next event. While this worked for smaller projects, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain as the game has grown. Going forward, all builds will follow the timeline below:
Build Timeline
Event 1 – Proposal Submitted
- Have a meeting with the Bankers Guild and submit your Build Proposal Form
- During downtime, the Head of the Bank and their team of specialist surveyors will review the proposal, assess the site and obtain any necessary approvals.
- If there are any questions or changes required, you’ll be contacted in character before the proposal moves forward.
Event 2 – Funding Opens
- Once approved, your proposal will appear in the Bankers’ Guild and become available for public funding.
- Players can begin contributing towards the project.
Once Fully Funded – Construction Begins
- When your project reaches its funding goal, construction will be scheduled to begin.
- Depending on the size and complexity of the project, your build will be completed within one to two events of reaching full funding.
- This represents the time needed to gather materials, organise labour and prepare the site within the world.
- Once complete, it will be added to the game world, recorded on the player wiki and available as complete in the Bankers’ Guild.
New Build Forms
To help us manage builds more efficiently, we’re also introducing three new forms:
- Build Proposal Forms – If you’d like to make a build proposal but do not wish to have a bankers guild meeting with a member of our team, you’re welcome to fill out the proposal form and submit it via the bankers guild. We highly recommend in-person meetings as our dedicated team can help steer your idea in the right direction.
- Build Contribution Form – If you’d like to contribute towards the funding of a build, simply complete the form and submit it with your contribution using the form, envelope and box available in the bankers guild.
- Build Query Form – If you have questions, feedback or concerns about a proposal or existing build, you can now submit these through a dedicated in-character form so we can track and respond to them more effectively.
Why the Change?
Build projects are intended to represent significant works that take time to plan and complete. Spreading proposals, funding and construction across multiple in-game seasons not only feels more natural within the setting but also gives our volunteer Bankers Guild Team the time they need to review proposals, obtain approval and deliver high-quality additions to the world.
We know this means a little more patience is required, but we’re confident it will result in better builds, a smoother process and a richer game world for everyone.
