Now winding its way through The Hedge in Valdraeth, The Travellers Labyrinth—colloquially known as the Mosquito Labyrinth—invites the curious and the bold into a space shaped by the overlooked dance of the world’s smallest winged wanderers. Inspired by the delicate, erratic motion of mosquitoes in flight, its design embraces spirals, sudden turns, and pockets of stillness, creating a disorienting yet organic flow.
Shrouded in dappled light and whispering leaves, the maze is alive with quiet sound—subtle hums and gentle wings that echo through hidden alcoves and shaded glades. Overgrown vines arch over tight corridors, and pools of still water catch glints of movement, as if the labyrinth itself were breathing.
