Late Deadline & Look and Feel Update

Greetings adventurers!

Haven is fast approaching – the price of tickets will increase at the end of this week (Friday), so be sure to grab your ticket before it goes up.
Don’t forget tickets are also limited, once we reach max capacity we’ll be unable to provide more.

Look and Feel Updates

Over the next few months we’re planning on updating our Look and Feel Guides with photos of players at our events.
The current guides have got us to this point, but are largely made up of photos from media and other larps that the team have run in the past, and the original wiki was quite glitchy with how it displayed them.

Now we’ve refurbished the new wiki and it’s back up and running, we want to start populating it with images from our amazing event photographers of you, our fantastic players.

The first thing to get a rewrite is going to be the Weavemarks pages. These were quite bare bones when we wrote them, with the assistance from crew and friends who put together makeup looks. However these were purely speculative, and there’s nothing like a year worth of people trying different looks and testing ways to achieve them to get an idea for what looks and styles are easy to do in the field and of interest to players!

Weavemarks have been designed to be magical effects that last as long as the person with them wants to, and which can be replaced by another sphere’s weavemarks whenever they choose. They are cosmetic with subtle roleplay effects, and do not include tails or non-human limbs.

We are aware that there are some creative directions that go beyond the current scope of the weavemarks as written. If you would like to suggest additions or changes to the current weavemarks designs that make them more accessible, feel free to do so! V2.0 of this area of the game design will have some tweaks, but we reserve the right to specify what is and what isn’t part of the look and feel of the world.

If you would like to submit a photo of yourself, please send them over to wiki@menhirsfate.com, giving your name and the name of the photographer so we can ensure the new wiki has the right attribution on the back end.

IC Camping Guidelines

We’ve also updated our IC Camping Guidelines with more information that should hopefully make it clear what is acceptable and not acceptable on the IC field. Go take a look!
