Useful Site Information

Greetings Adventurers!

We are so excited to see you at MF1 2026! We have a fantastic new site and our team has moved Haven and earth to bring you the best Menhirs Fate experience yet!
We have a full page of useful site info available here: https://www.menhirsfate.com/site-information/
We recommend you read it all but we wanted to draw your attention to some key elements:

Access to the site – 24 hours

For safety and security we will be closing our gate each evening at 10pm and reopening in the morning at 8am. However 24 hour access can be gained by calling the number on the gate and our 24 hour safety and welfare stewards will be on call to open the gate for you, effectively giving the ability to enter and leave the site 24 hours a day whilst maintaining safety and security. We ask that late night entrances and exits are kept to an essential minimum to avoid disruption.

Thursday Access

Players may arrive from 3pm on the Thursday before the event providing they have a Thursday ticket add-on which can be purchased on our website with your ticket or on the gate for £10.

Vehicles will be allowed on the IC field until sundown after which they must be parked in our car park. Do not consume alcoholic beverages before parking your vehicle. Vehicles arriving after sundown will need to either need to carry kit onto the IC field or wait until Friday morning to drive on again. Road access will be available for OC camping at all times to allow people to unload, please be mindful of those sleeping if you arrive late at night. Please park up in the car park as soon as you have unloaded. We cannot allow cars to be left in the OC campsite for the weekend – these must be parked in the car park. Anyone sleeping in their vehicles must park in the live-in vehicles area.

Friday Access

You can arrive at any time on the Friday of our events but all vehicles must be off the IC field by 5pm. You can still carry kit onto the IC field after this time but please be aware that time-in starts at 6pm and walking on in OC kit can break immersion for other players. Please do your best to keep disturbance to players in character after 6pm to a minimum.

Sunday Access

Cars will be permitted to enter the IC field to pack down after Time Out on Sunday. Please wait for our traffic team to be in place to make vehicle access safe. We expect this to be in place from 3.15pm at which point we will allow IC access. We request all players to be off the field and off site by 7pm on Sunday. Cars will be permitted to enter the IC field to pack down after Time Out on Sunday. Sleeping in vehicles

If you intend to sleep in your vehicle you must park in the live-in vehicle area. You must sleep in the vehicle and not camp around the vehicle as this creates roll-away dangers. You cannot sleep in your vehicle in our carpark and you will be asked to move if you do.

Shuttle

Due to budget restrictions we will not be operating a shuttle from train stations this year. We will attempt to get this in place when the larp grows to a point we can afford this but its unfortunately not viable at the moment. Very generous volunteers helped with transport at MF4 at Weston Park but this year we ask people to use the carpooling channel on our community discord to arrange group taxis or offer car shares where possible. The nearest train stations are Banbury and Milton Keynes. These are approximately a 30 minute drive to our site at Dadford Road campsite.

Showers

Dadford road offers a fixed shower block (and toilets) – a fantastic feature that helps keep the larp affordable and sustainable. While we will still have toilet trailers, portaloos and accessible toilets positioned around the site; the shower block is the only showers we will have. They also have two accessible shower and toilet rooms on the end of the block. The shower block is accessible via trackway and is approx 200m from our main campsite area. They are a little rustic but each cubicle has plenty of room to get changed and washed in privacy, there are many of them and the block includes an area to brush teeth, includes hair dryers and also an area to wash up plates and cutlery.

Buggy

At MF1/2/3 we had an accessibility buggy in order to transport people up a steep hill to the top of our site where our dungeon and encounter area was. Our layout at Dadford is more accessible and compact than ever and should give everybody close, quick and easy access to the whole game. Therefore we will not have a buggy while at this site. Accessibility camping is also right next to our food traders and accessible toilets and as close as possible to our shower block.

Looking forward

From a site perspective – we will do everything we can to provide the best experience to everyone this year. Please bear with us whilst we find our feet at Dadford. No plan is without challenges and whilst we may encounter them along the way, know that we always listen to feedback and will implement improvements (budget allowing) throughout the year and beyond. As ever – thank you to our players for fueling the flame of Menhirs Fate and thank you to our crew for building the fire. See you in the field!
